Before you confirm a transaction
Review the supplier, scope, price, payment status and cancellation conditions. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law protects.
1. Agreement and scope
These terms govern access to MySaji’s website, customer portal, Saji Pro, Saji Till and authorised team tools. They apply alongside the Privacy Policy and any specific checkout, subscription, merchant or business agreement presented for the service you select. Review the terms and the transaction details before confirming. If you act for a business, you must have authority to bind that business.
“MySaji”, “we” and “our” mean the platform operator. The contact panel below provides the published contact details. Independent merchants and service providers are responsible for the products and services they offer. These terms do not remove any non-excludable rights under applicable law.
2. Eligibility and account security
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter the relevant agreement. Provide accurate information, keep contact details current and complete verification when required. A verification indicator describes the checks performed; it is not a guarantee of competence, safety, licensing or future conduct.
Keep passwords and one-time codes private. Do not share an owner or administrator account with employees; use authorised staff accounts and role permissions. Tell support promptly about suspected compromise. You are responsible for activities you authorise and for reasonable account-security steps, without limiting any protection the law gives against unauthorised transactions.
3. Marketplace roles and service availability
MySaji supplies discovery, communication, transaction and business-management tools. Unless an offer expressly states otherwise, the supply contract for a product or service is between the customer and the named merchant or provider. MySaji remains responsible for its own platform obligations and any duties imposed by law.
Features, payment methods and geographical coverage vary by account, business type, configuration and availability. A listing, automated recommendation, message or payment prompt does not by itself confirm acceptance, stock availability or successful payment. Check the booking, order and transaction status shown in the service.
4. Listings, quotes, orders and bookings
Providers and merchants must describe their offers accurately, including price, stock, scope, location, expected timing, exclusions and applicable conditions. Customers must provide accurate requirements and safe, lawful access where work is performed. Confirm any change in scope, price or schedule before additional work starts.
Before you commit, review the named supplier, items or scope, total price, applicable fees and taxes, payment requirements and relevant cancellation conditions. Payment timing depends on the flow shown: do not assume every service uses the same deposit, advance-payment or completion arrangement. Keep the confirmation and reference number. Report an apparent error promptly instead of relying on an obvious incorrect price or description.
5. Prices, fees and subscriptions
The price and any platform fees, commissions, delivery costs, priority charges or taxes applicable to your transaction should be disclosed before confirmation. Do not complete a payment if the total or payee is unclear. Businesses remain responsible for their own pricing, tax registration and required invoices.
Where a paid plan or subscription is offered, the plan details must identify the price, billing period, included features, renewal terms and cancellation method before you subscribe. Do not assume an advertised feature is included in every plan. A change to future fees or renewal pricing must be communicated as required by the relevant agreement and applicable law; it does not retrospectively alter an already agreed transaction.
6. Payments, wallet records and withdrawals
Use only the payment options and payee details displayed for the transaction. External payment providers apply their own terms and checks. Never give staff or another user your M-Pesa PIN, card security code, banking password or one-time login code. A screenshot, SMS or typed transaction reference may require reconciliation and is not conclusive proof that funds were received.
Wallet screens record supported credits, debits, adjustments and transaction states. A pending entry is not cleared money. Withdrawal availability depends on cleared funds, account permissions, verification, fees shown, provider processing and fraud or legal checks. Report an incorrect entry with its reference. Do not treat a displayed balance as a bank deposit, an interest-bearing investment or a guarantee of deposit protection.
Where escrow or held-payment features are expressly offered, release follows the transaction’s stated completion and dispute rules. There is no universal escrow promise for every purchase. A merchant’s own Paybill receives funds through that merchant’s payment arrangement; access to MySaji does not automatically give MySaji custody of those funds or the ability to reverse them.
7. Cancellation, refunds and disputes
Check the cancellation and return conditions presented for the offer before confirming. Eligibility depends on the transaction, work performed, fulfilment status, supplier obligations and applicable consumer law. A completed transaction is not automatically excluded from a remedy for non-delivery, defects or misrepresentation. Statutory cancellation and refund rights take priority over inconsistent platform or merchant wording.
Raise an issue through the relevant order, booking or support channel. Provide the transaction reference, a clear description and relevant evidence; avoid unnecessary personal information. We may request a response from the other party and review payment and service records. Payment providers may require a separate reversal or chargeback process. Review is not a promise of an immediate refund or a particular outcome. Any approved refund is subject to the applicable payment route and processing time communicated for that case.
Keep evidence before deleting messages or closing an account. You may seek a remedy from the supplier, a payment provider, a regulator or a competent court where applicable; platform support is not a compulsory replacement for those rights.
8. Saji Pro and merchant responsibilities
Providers and merchants must hold required licences, supply lawful products and services, honour accepted commitments, handle customer information appropriately and make truthful claims about qualifications, availability and warranties. You are responsible for your personnel, fulfilment, workplace safety, inventory, taxes and any legal obligations of your business. Report operational problems promptly and cooperate with genuine complaint investigations.
Do not use the platform to obtain customer details for unsolicited marketing or mislead users about who supplies a product or service. Additional commercial agreements may govern commission, settlement or enterprise services; they cannot override mandatory customer protections.
9. Saji Till, employees and loyalty
Till owners must configure business details, payment accounts, receipt information, tax settings, employee permissions and loyalty rules accurately. A receipt generated by Till is not, by itself, proof of tax-authority certification or fiscal-system integration. Validate any required statutory invoicing arrangements for your business.
Owners are responsible for granting the minimum access appropriate to each employee and removing access when duties end. Employees must use their own assigned account, work within their permissions, follow shift requirements and record sales, stock movements, refunds and payment confirmations honestly. Do not falsely mark an unpaid sale as paid or share customer records outside authorised duties.
Loyalty points follow the participating business’s disclosed programme rules. Points are not automatically cash, transferable value or a platform-wide entitlement. Corrections and reversals may affect points; the relevant business must explain disputed balances and any programme changes lawfully.
10. Messaging, files, voice notes and calls
Use communications for lawful, relevant interactions. Do not send harassment, threats, scams, malware, unauthorised intimate content or information you have no right to share. Obtain any legally required consent before recording or distributing another person’s voice, image or confidential material. The app’s voice-note feature records material you deliberately choose to send; the current calling feature does not provide in-app call recording.
Audio/video calls depend on device permissions, connectivity and third-party network services. Device alerts and sounds depend on browser and operating-system settings, so delivery is not guaranteed. These tools are not emergency services. Use the appropriate emergency service when urgent assistance is required. You can use available block/report controls or contact support about abuse.
11. AI-assisted features
AI-generated suggestions, text, images and answers can contain errors, omissions or unsuitable material. Review output before using or publishing it, especially prices, technical advice, legal statements and images representing an actual product. Do not use edited images to misrepresent an item’s condition, features or identity.
You remain responsible for decisions and content you publish. AI suggestions do not replace qualified professional advice or verification of a supplier. Do not upload confidential or third-party material without authority. AI availability and results may vary; specific processing information is described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Content, reviews and intellectual property
You retain rights you hold in content you submit. You grant MySaji a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, format and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate the requested service, including to recipients you select. This licence does not transfer ownership or authorise unrelated sale of your personal information; processing is also governed by the Privacy Policy.
Submit content you have the right to use. Reviews should reflect genuine experiences and must not be fabricated, purchased to mislead, discriminatory or disclose unnecessary private information. Report copyright or other rights concerns with the content location, an explanation of your rights and your contact details. MySaji’s branding, software and original materials remain protected; access grants no right to copy, resell or misuse them beyond authorised use.
13. Prohibited use and team access
- Do not impersonate another person, falsify identity or business records, manipulate reviews or create fraudulent transactions.
- Do not bypass role permissions, access another business’s records, scrape restricted personal data or exploit a security flaw.
- Do not distribute malware, disrupt the service, misuse automated access or evade lawful fraud controls.
- Do not offer unlawful goods or services, discriminate unlawfully, threaten others or use customer details for unauthorised purposes.
- Administrators and team members must use privileged access only for assigned duties and must not disclose or alter records without authority.
Report security concerns privately through support. Do not access or retain other users’ information to demonstrate a vulnerability.
14. Suspension, closure and appeals
We may restrict activity or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect users, comply with law or address a serious or repeated breach. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and how to seek review. Urgent safety or legal concerns may require action before notice.
You may request closure through available account controls or support. Closing an account does not cancel accepted obligations, unresolved disputes or legitimate outstanding fees. Remaining funds and records are handled under applicable payment rules and legal obligations. Contact support with relevant evidence if you believe a restriction is mistaken. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion limits.
15. Reliability and responsibility
We aim to keep the service available and maintain it with reasonable care, but maintenance, network failures, supplier outages and security incidents can interrupt access. Keep appropriate business records and verify consequential actions, including stock adjustments, payment settlement and exported reports.
To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee every independent supplier’s performance or uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer rights, or excuses MySaji’s own fraud or other responsibility that the law requires it to bear. Any separate commercial limitation must be expressly agreed and lawful.
16. Changes, governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. Parties may first try to resolve a concern through support, without preventing access to regulators or competent courts. There is no mandatory private arbitration requirement in these terms.
The revision date appears above. We will bring material changes to users’ attention through an appropriate notice and obtain any acceptance required by law. Changes do not remove accrued rights or retrospectively rewrite a completed transaction. Save a copy using the controls on this page. Use the contact panel for questions, complaints, account appeals and requests for the operator’s legal details.
